At PawHootz Pet Resort, we make lots of furry friends! This month, we’re going to showcase two
special canine companions who love spending time with us and their own canine companions.
Let’s give a warm round of a-paws to the August 2020 Palz of the Month: Bones & Stormy! We
interviewed their humans to learn more about what make these pups so special.
Q: Do they have any special nicknames?
A: Bones- Bonesy, Boo, and Boo Bear
A: Stormy- We call him Stormy, so everyone thinks he is a girl LOL-We also call him: Gormy, and Gene, because his name is Storm Gene.
Q: When is their birthday, and how do you celebrate it?
A: Bones- March 17th and he gets his favorite side dish added to his food bowl of grilled Salmon.
A: Stormy- Aug 20th and he gets lots of extra treats that day.
Q: How did They become a member of your family?
A: Bones- Our very good friends have a beautiful sweet dog named Sofia. We told them if she ever has pups we wanted one; two years later we got the call that she had puppies and got to hand pick our sweet boy from her litter.
A: Stormy- We rescued him from the Human Society of North Texas Keller. It was a Sunday morning “National Dogs Day” and he and his siblings were featured on the Channel 5 morning news. We raced over when they opened at noon and got in line to adopt him.
Q: How old were they when they joined your family?
A: Bones- 8 weeks old.
A: Stormy- 8 weeks old.
Q: How would you describe their personality in five words?
A: Bones- Bones is a big baby and quit the mama’s dog, he thinks he is my lap dog and is very sweet and would just want to be loved on all day if I had the time. He is turning into a grumpy old man these days, and really only likes his mama-LOL!! He does like Stormy and will wait for him before he goes outside, but Stormy most of the time has too much energy and gets on Bones’ nerves.
A: Stormy- Stormy is a little wild Indian, he loves to be outside especially in the summer when it is hot. Stormy loves to be warm and sit right in front of the fire in the winter, this is his favorite place. Stormy sleeps at the end of my son’s bed every night, he is a good sleeper.
Q: What is their favorite food, treat, toy, or other thing?
A: They both loves these treats made by Dingo- They are called Chips and are chicken flavored
Q: What is the cutest, smartest, or most interesting thing they do?
A: Bones- Bones will come and lean into you with his head and give you a “hug”. He also gets really excited when we get up in the morning and “talks” to us saying good morning! He loves to fetch and play ball.
A: Stormy- Stormy is very smart and is very observant when it comes to all things- he is always watching and will give you the “side-eye”. He loves to fetch and play ball. Stormy figured out how to open doors at our house and roll down the windows in the car.
Q: What is their favorite thing about PawHootz Pet Resort?
A: Bones and Stormy love coming to the resort to play and to get all the additional love and attention from everyone. They are both truly a big part of our family and we love them so much, and we thank you all for loving them too!!!
