Watermelon Frozen Treats Recipe For Dogs!

These watermelon frozen treats are easy to make no matter your experience in making homemade dog treats. The only ingredients you need for this recipe is – Greek yogurt, watermelon, and honey (preferably organic, especially if your dog is diabetic).

Ingredient Benefits

These dog-friendly ingredients boast a range of benefits:

Watermelon: According to the AKC, this fruit is not only low in calories but also packed with essential nutrients like vitamins A, B6, C, and potassium. It’s an excellent hydrator, perfect for those hot days. Remember to remove all seeds and use fresh, unsweetened watermelon.

Plain Greek Yogurt: The Honest Kitchen touts Greek yogurt as the best yogurt option for your furry friend. Packed with probiotics and a higher protein quantity, it’s a healthier alternative to regular yogurt.

Organic Honey: Regular honey, as per the AKC, contains added sugars that can lead to obesity and pose problems for diabetic dogs. Opt for Organic honey to provide only natural sugars and essential vitamins and minerals. Avoid raw honey, which may contain botulism spores, causing Botulism—an illness affecting the nervous system.
