Welcome to PawHootz Pet Resort! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. General Terms
1.1. PawHootz Pet Resort (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides pet boarding, daycare, training, and grooming services.
1.2. By using our services, you affirm that you are the legal owner or authorized guardian of the pet(s) and have the authority to make decisions regarding their care.
1.3. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client at our discretion.
2. Pet Health and Vaccination Requirements
2.1. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations per Texas state law and PawHootz Pet Resort policies. Required vaccinations include but are not limited to:
Dogs: Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza), and Bordetella.
Cats: Rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia).
2.2. Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to boarding, daycare, or grooming appointments.
2.3. Pets must be free from contagious diseases, parasites (fleas, ticks, worms), and other health risks.
2.4. If a pet appears sick or injured, PawHootz Pet Resort reserves the right to refuse service or require a veterinarian’s clearance before admission.
3. Emergency Care
3.1. In case of a medical emergency, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or emergency contact.
3.2. If the owner cannot be reached, PawHootz Pet Resort is authorized to seek veterinary care at the owner’s expense.
3.3. The owner agrees to cover all costs associated with emergency medical treatment.
4. Behavior and Temperament
4.1. All pets must be non-aggressive and socialized with other pets and people.
4.2. Any pet that exhibits aggressive or dangerous behavior may be removed from group play and/or refused future service.
4.3. Owners are responsible for any damages, injuries, or legal actions resulting from their pet’s behavior.
5. Liability Waiver
5.1. While PawHootz Pet Resort takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, owners understand that pets are placed in an interactive environment and assume inherent risks, including but not limited to, minor injuries, illnesses, and stress-related conditions.
5.2. PawHootz Pet Resort is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or loss of life that occur during a pet’s stay, except in cases of gross negligence.
5.3. Owners release and hold PawHootz Pet Resort, its staff, and affiliates harmless from any claims arising from their pet’s stay or services rendered.
6. Payment and Cancellation Policy
6.1. Full payment is required at the time of service unless otherwise specified.
6.2. Deposits may be required for certain services such as lodging or training programs.
6.3. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for standard services and 72 hours in advance for holiday reservations to avoid fees.
6.4. No-shows or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.
7. Grooming Policies
7.1. PawHootz Pet Resort is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or reactions due to grooming, including but not limited to, skin irritation, nicks, or stress-related conditions.
7.2. If a pet exhibits aggressive behavior during grooming, services may be discontinued, and the owner will still be responsible for partial or full payment.
8. Photo & Video Release
8.1. PawHootz Pet Resort may take photos or videos of pets for promotional purposes.
8.2. Owners grant permission for the use of their pet’s image in marketing materials, social media, and advertising unless otherwise requested in writing.
9. Texas State Compliance
9.1. PawHootz Pet Resort operates in compliance with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and local animal control regulations.
9.2. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be governed by Texas law and resolved in a Texas court.
10. Agreement to Terms
10.1. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
10.2. PawHootz Pet Resort reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
