Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all services provided by America’s Pet Resort, LLC dba PawHootz Pet Resort (“PawHootz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By scheduling services or admitting a pet, the pet owner or authorized agent (“Pet Parent,” “you”) acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by this Agreement, the Pet Parent Agreement, and the Healthy Pet Program terms.


1. Services & Rates

Pet Parents agree to pay all rates in effect at the time services are rendered, including lodging, daycare, grooming, training, transportation, food preparation, medication administration, and any additional services or products requested.

All rates, services, and availability are subject to change without notice.


2. Payment Authorization

A valid credit card must be maintained on file to secure all reservations. All first-time lodging clients must pay in full at check-in. Extended stays may be charged on a weekly basis. All services must be paid in full prior to pet release.

Accepted forms of payment include major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Checks are not accepted.


3. Health Representation & Disclosure

Pet Parent represents and warrants that all pets admitted:

  • Are in good general health
  • Have not had a communicable illness within the past sixty (60) days
  • Are free of untreated parasites
  • Have not exhibited aggressive or threatening behavior toward people or other animals

Pet Parent agrees to fully disclose all known medical conditions, allergies, medications, surgeries, behavioral issues, fears, or prior aggressive incidents. PawHootz relies on this information to provide appropriate care.


4. Vaccination Requirements

All pets must be current on required vaccinations prior to admission.

Dogs:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Parvo
  • Bordetella
  • Annual negative fecal test
  • Bivalent Canine Influenza (CIV)

Puppies (Under 6 Months):

  • Two rounds Distemper
  • Two rounds Parvo
  • Bordetella
  • Monthly deworming treatment or monthly negative fecal test

Cats:

  • Rabies
  • FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia)

Rabies vaccination waivers are not permitted for any pet. Pets with approved vaccination waivers do not qualify for the Healthy Pet Program.


5. Admission & Refusal of Service

PawHootz reserves the right to refuse admission or discontinue services at any time for pets displaying illness, parasites, aggression, or behavior posing a safety risk.

Animals in heat are not accepted.

PawHootz is not staffed for skilled veterinary care and may be unable to accommodate geriatric pets or pets requiring extensive or specialized medical attention.


6. Parasite Control

Pets arriving with fleas or ticks will be treated at the Pet Parent’s expense. PawHootz may administer flea control products, including CAPSTAR and medicated baths, to maintain facility health and safety standards.


7. Lodging & Social Activities

Pets from different households will not share suites. Pets from the same household may share lodging upon request. Dogs and cats will not be housed together.

Cats from the same household may participate in group enrichment activities only with prior written authorization from the Pet Parent. PawHootz reserves the right to modify or discontinue group enrichment activities at any time based on temperament, stress levels, or safety concerns.

Group Activities (Dogs):

  • Dogs over eighteen (18) months must be spayed or neutered unless grandfathered
  • Temperament evaluation required
  • Participation privileges may be revoked at PawHootz’s discretion

8. Food & Nutrition

PawHootz provides Fromm’s Gold Adult dry food for dogs. Fromm’s Gold Adult is a premium, nutritionally balanced diet formulated for digestibility and overall health.

Pet Parents may supply their own food provided all meals are pre-portioned, clearly labeled with the pet’s name, and sufficient for the entire stay. Additional fees may apply for food preparation beyond standard dry kibble or owner-provided canned food.

Supplements and specialty diets may be administered at an additional charge.


9. Grooming Services

Grooming completion times vary based on coat condition and pet temperament. PawHootz reserves the right to modify or terminate grooming services if stress, safety, or health concerns arise.

Severe matting may require shaving. PawHootz is not responsible for skin irritation, behavioral changes, or exposure of pre-existing conditions resulting from mat removal.


10. Medications & Veterinary Care

All medications must be clearly labeled with the pet’s name, medication name, dosage, and administration instructions. Additional medication administration fees may apply.

If a pet becomes ill or injured, PawHootz may, at its discretion, administer care or seek veterinary services. All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the Pet Parent.


11. Emergencies & Transport Authorization

Pet Parent authorizes PawHootz to transport pets off-site for veterinary care, training, or home care as deemed necessary. Emergency care may be provided by PawHootz’s designated veterinarian, the Pet Parent’s veterinarian, or a 24-hour emergency facility.


12. Check-In, Check-Out & Abandonment

Check-in and check-out are permitted only during posted lobby hours. No check-ins or check-outs are allowed before 7:00 AM or after 6:00 PM.

Pets not retrieved within ten (10) days of the scheduled departure date may be deemed abandoned and become the property of PawHootz.


13. Cancellations & Deposits

Lodging & Grooming:

  • Fifty percent (50%) deposit required (one hundred percent (100%) for first-time clients)
  • Full refund with at least five (5) days’ notice
  • No-shows or excessive rescheduling may result in forfeiture or full charge

Training:

  • Paid in full at booking
  • Five (5) days’ cancellation notice required

14. Liability, Indemnification & Limitation of Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawHootz’s total liability, if any, for loss, injury, or death of a pet shall not exceed the lesser of:

  • The pet’s current fair market (chattel) value as declared in writing by the Pet Parent and expressly agreed to in writing by PawHootz, or
  • Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per pet

If a Pet Parent believes their pet’s value exceeds $500.00, that value must be declared in writing and expressly accepted in writing by PawHootz prior to service. PawHootz does not assume or accept liability above $500.00 unless such written agreement is executed in advance.

Absent such written agreement, Pet Parent expressly agrees that the maximum recoverable amount shall be limited to $500.00 per pet.

Pet Parent agrees to indemnify and hold harmless PawHootz, its owners, employees, and agents from all claims arising from services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.


15. Photo & Media Release

PawHootz may photograph or record pets for marketing and promotional purposes unless Pet Parent provides written notice opting out.

16. Healthy Pet Program

The PawHootz Healthy Pet Program (“HPP”) provides limited coverage for unexpected illness or injury occurring during a pet’s stay or within three (3) days of departure.

  • Coverage limit: $500.00
  • Premium: $1.00 per pet, per day
  • The Healthy Pet Program premium is mandatory and may not be waived
  • Pets with vaccination waivers are not eligible for coverage

All illnesses or injuries must be reported immediately. Veterinary documentation is required prior to reimbursement or payment.


17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved through arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association or, where applicable, mediation and litigation in Tarrant County, Texas. The prevailing party may recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.


18. Acceptance of Terms

By using PawHootz services, Pet Parent acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions herein.
