Our First Certified Professional Animal Care Operator

Announcement!
We are proud to announce our new Certified Professional Animal Care Operator (CPACO). Karoline Brewer, the founder and manager of Animal America, is now a member of an elite group of pet care professionals who have successfully demonstrated their comprehensive pet care knowledge and passion for pet safety. Karoline is the only Certified Professional Animal Care Operator (CPACO) in the Dallas metroplex!
The Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC) recently conducted an independent certification exam for pet care providers. The exam content was created by a team of industry expert volunteers under the guidance of the Professional Testing Corporation (PTC), the third-party testing organization that administered the exam and certified the results. To initially qualify to take the CPACO exam, Karoline had to meet minimum education requirements, have a minimum of five years of experience with at least one year in an operator position, maintain membership in a pet-related association or organization, engage in ongoing community service, and provide letters of reference from veterinarians and other pet care industry professionals.
The in-depth 175-question examination covered animal care topics including health, nutrition, dog fight and bite protocol, on-leash and off-leash interaction, sanitation, dog behavior, and temperament, dog body language, dog training, animal and handler safety, vaccination protocol, workflow management, pathogen control, emergency, quarantine protocols, air quality standards, staff management expectations, professional business and financial management, and much more.
Karoline’s certification represents what Animal America intends to be a growing team of independently certified pet care professionals. We look forward to the next opportunity to sit for the exam. “We are so proud to be able to demonstrate through PACCC’s independent certification our dedication to pet safety for our clients and community,” said Animal America. “Pets are family members and their ‘parents’ should feel confident they are receiving the highest level of care.”
