Fall is approaching, which means an end to the blistering summer temperatures! As the weather becomes cooler, people AND pups are eager to get outside. What better way to get some fresh air than by going for a hike or playing outside with your furry friends? Here are three of our favorite dog-friendly parks and walking trails in and around our home of Hurst, Texas:
1. Chisholm Park
The largest park in Hurst, Chisholm covers 50 acres and features a large duck pond and a variety of walking trails that are perfect for both people and dogs.
2. Bedford Boys Ranch Park
This 68-acre park, also known as Generations Park, is located in nearby Bedford and offers an urban lake and a gorgeous walking path, perfect for strolling with your pup!
Located on Lake Grapevine, this beautiful spot offers access to the Northshore Trail for biking and hiking and, as the name suggests, provides beautiful sunset views each day!
Be sure to look into each location before visiting to familiarize yourself with their rules– aside from the usual leash and clean-up rules, parks and trails may have specific social distancing guidelines posted on their websites to keep visitors safe and healthy.
